Fanglewurzle FAQsWhat is Fanglewurzle?Fanglewurzle is a website and concept established in the early 2000's as an idea for a public review site where it's members can submit their opinions of a product without bias. Started by an aspiring amature film critic on an independent gaming forum it has gained and lost momentum as it has overcome the hurdles that have faced it. In truth however the world holds no meaning other than branding, though it can be considered a hybrid of the word fangle, a word defining new innovation and a variation of the word wurzel which means root.
How do I submit a review? To submit a review you must first sign up to the forum where the other experienced and non experienced members of Fanglewurzle are waiting to meet all potential members. Posting your review within the forum is a great way to get noticed, and will be uploaded to the main site. If your work is consistantly rated as exceptional by the members and staff you will be added to the reviewers category and your submissions will be directly submittable to the main site. This is a great way to establish a following be you an independant reviewer or an aspiring professional, and can be listed on your Curriculum Vitae or resume. There shall also be in the future the oppertunity to earn from submitted reviews. Please keep aware however that Fanglewurzle is looking for exclusive reviews, and any reviews we find that are submitted elsewhere will be removed as it is a site of new content.
Can I post a review I've submitted elsewhere? While the review itself is your intellectual property, the concept of this site derives from having fresh content. We will not host the review if spread, and if you are found to have copied reviews from other sites and posted them as your own it will be used as grounds for banning.
What sort of things can I review?Fanglewurzle is an enriched amalgamation of all products and concepts, and as such we will accept reviews for almost everything. The things we will not accept reviews for are things that are in themselves inherantly offencive and things designed for sexual stimulation.
Is there a limit to the number of reviews I can submit? There are no limits to the amount of reviews you can submit. The more you give to fanglewurzle, the more you ultimately will get out of it.
Someone stole my review I posted here. Help! While we are aware of the precarious nature of the internet and content theft, there are unfortunately limitations to our powers of copyright maintinance as this is a privately funded project. However rest assured that if a complaint is made, all attempts to contact the source of the theft shall be made, and if a resolution is not reached it shall be made clear that it was indeed stolen.
I want my review removed. How do I do it?While it is your intellectual property, Fanglewurzle does reserve the right of choosing whether or not to accept a removal request, as by posting the review here you allow us the exclusive rights to display it. In order to have a review removed from the main site, contact the administrator either through the forum or using the contact us button, and a decision shall be made pending on the circumstances of the request. If denied, Fanglewurzle shal continue to display your review, with of course full credit to the writer.
Someone wrote something I find offencive in a review. Please remove it.While we will actively remove reviews found to contain inherantly offencive content, be it racial or of sexual prefference, we believe that there should be an artistic license to use language that otherwise would be considered foul when used in a constructive or critical review. We believe strongly that foul language should only be considered offencive on a contextural basis, and when used in a way that doesn't verbally attack an individual can actually be the most accute way of expressing a particular emotion, be it humorus, joyful or a negative. If supported by a good backbone, we believe this can enhance a review and so will not remove unless the review itself is too poor to remain relevant.
How do I sign up to the forum?Clicking on the forum button will bring you to the main forum page. Click on the register button to bring up the easy to fill in registraton forum. All details are given there in full. If you still have problems you can send the administrator an email through the contact us button on the main page, and we shall look into it as soon as possible.
I lost my password. Help!At the login console there should be displayed a line of text that asks whether you've lost your password. Inputting your username and email shall send you an updated email with the option to reset your password. If you still have problems you can send the administrator an email through the contact us button on the main page, and we shall look into it as soon as possible.
My friend/relative wrote a review. Can they post it from my account?Unfortunately due to the way reviews are logged, reviews will be assigned to the poster, and we have no way of accrediting the writer without them posting it themselves. They would also gain little to no benefit from posting the review if it is not listed as them. Due to the copyright issues that may occur from this, we are not prepaired to accept reviews posted from a person on anothers behalf.
I want to edit a review. How can I do this?Editing a review is fairly simple on the form. Simply click the edit post button to open the editing console and change what needs to be changed. To edit a main site review, you will need to contact the administrator or a member of staff.
I need to contact an admin. Where do I do that?Either through the forum where you can PM, message or send an email to us, or alternately by clicking the contact us button.
I want to remove my account, how do I do it?While we are sad to lose members Fanglewurzle recognises that many people feel the need to start a fresh. To remove your account simply contact a member of staff or the adminstrator through the forum or contact us panel. Be aware however that Fanglewurzle reserves the right to keep all content and will retain it on both site and forum regardless of the presence of an account.
Who created Fanglewurzle? An English man called Lewis McAdam who uses the net persona Neamento. People who have contributed to the creation of Fanglewurle are Hugo Giguere, River Hester, James McAdam and Alishia Boates. They are a constant source of support, encouragement, guidance and strength, and without them none of this would be possible.
Are you looking for forum staff or website staff? We are constantly looking for good members of staff who can add to fanglewurzle and help it progress and evolve, however our selection process is based solely upon the progress a person makes though interracting with the site. Please do not post resumes or curriculum vitaes to the staff in hopes of joining them as these shall largely be ignored, unless we announce we are looking for people to fill specific roles.
If we missed a question that you feel should be in this FAQ or you have a pressing question that would benefit others, please send it to us via the forum or alternately through our contact us page, and if deemed appropriate it will be added to the current FAQ. Add new comment Hits: 47
